Netflix's new movie "Pieces of a Woman" depicts home birth in a dangerous, antiquated perspective that does not reflect the safety of modern home birth. It’s been our experience, and the experience of many that we interact with, that home birth can be completely safe, comfortable, and beautiful. Giving birth can feel scary with all of the unknowns, so choosing to birth at home is a highly personal decision. We’ve put together a panel of people who have experienced homebirth to share their stories and help reverse the negative assumptions around giving birth at home.

Our panel will discuss the safety of home birth from a medical standpoint, debunk common myths about home birth, and share the perspective of women and partners who have birthed at home and had home births that ended in hospital transfers.

If you’re considering birthing at home, (or if you need help convincing your mom why this is the right thing for you) this is a panel discussion you will not want to miss. Join us via Zoom on Thursday, January 21 from 7:30-9.
