I remember it like it was yesterday: three days postpartum, slumped on the floor of my nursery, tears rolling down my cheeks. My baby, so tiny and precious, was dozing in the bassinet. Surrounding me were the “must-have” items—expensive gadgets, high-tech monitors, perfectly organized bins of newborn clothes. Yet, despite all that gear, I felt completely lost.
I had no idea how to breastfeed properly. I was too exhausted and emotional to figure out how to take a simple shower. I questioned whether I was cut out for motherhood.
