Bendiciones! First and foremost thank you for taking the time to read my story. Thank you for your support and blessings. I am an expecting mama reaching out and asking for community support. Choosing a home birth is very much about preserving my ancestors ceremonial ways and maintaining my roots. It’s about feeling safe, secure and more importantly feeling empowered! As an indigenous mama it is very important for me to bring my baby into this world in a manner that is fully in alignment with my spirit. In my previous pregnancy I gave birth in a hospital setting and it was a very traumatic experience. I did not feel supported or heard and as a result my son ended up with a bleed in his brain and now has on going medical challenges. I am asking for the communities help so that I can birth at home
with the help of my midwife and doula team. The donations will help with paying the remaining balance for my midwife and helping with postpartum services during my 4th trimester. Which as a lot of us know is the most important and if provided with the proper help and resources can help in curving PPD ( postpartum depression) and increase mommy and baby bonding time.
