Kenai’s Village Birth Fund

For this final birth, my heart holds one quiet hope: to welcome Kenai into the world peacefully at home.

With Kylo, we had planned a home birth but ended up needing to transfer to the hospital. While I’m so grateful everything turned out healthy, it left me with a deep hope to experience a full home birth if this baby allows it. Of course, our true goal above everything is a healthy baby and a healthy mama—but if it’s meant to be, I would love the chance to welcome Kenai in the calm and sacred space of our home, surrounded by love.

Home birth midwives and postpartum doulas are rarely covered by insurance, which means families usually pay for this care out of pocket. Because of that, instead of creating a traditional baby registry, we created Kenai’s Village Birth Fund.

We’re hoping to raise support for:
• A licensed home birth midwife
• Postpartum doula care so I can rest, recover, and bond with Kenai while also having help with our older two kids and daily life

Since we don’t have close friends or family nearby, postpartum support would truly mean the world during those first tender weeks.

I’ll absolutely be doing my part to save as much as I can as well. I plan to continue working as a massage therapist while pregnant, but bodywork while pregnant can be physically demanding, so any help along the way would be deeply appreciated.

If you feel called to contribute, please know that every gift—big or small—goes directly toward creating a peaceful, supported birth and postpartum experience for our family. And if contributing financially isn’t possible, your love, encouragement, and good thoughts are just as meaningful.

It truly takes a village, and ours just happens to be spread across the country 🤎
