Q: How do you answer the question: "I want your support but my partner feels like they'll be replaced"?

A: Your partner will be encouraged to help you find comfort and together we will many techniques to support you through labor and delivery. I will get you to learn more about you and your partner's relationship and hope to find more tools/methods you can learn to use with your body together while you have your baby.

Q: What drew you into working with parents-to-be?

A: My sister found love later in life and she quickly began her journey into motherhood. As the health specialist, I started to do a lot of research to see how I could best support my sister and that's how I became a doula. For my sister it brought me to where I am today, serving soon-to-be-parents and I couldn't be happier to help.

Q: What's your top piece of advice for an expectant mom?

A: How to ask for help. We find ourselves feeling ashamed to ask for help but we don't have the family/community anymore so we do need to speak up and ask for help. Let people help you, direct them to what you can like cooking or cleaning. Finding specialists to help you is also something I can help you with as your doula.
