About Wellness for Women Massage & Birth

Bio

I am a Certified Doula, Licensed Massage Therapist and biological mom of 7 kiddos. (Yes, 7) I started with massage therapy after a couple years of being a birth doula. Many of my clients were wanting to give birth without medications and I thought labor massage would be a great help. This was when I went to massage school. Since that time, I have also gotten certifications in Prenatal Massage, Infant Massage Instructor and am Spinning Babies trained. I love working with pregnant mamas.

Q&A

Q: What drew you into working with parents-to-be?

A: I have had 3 hospital births - with lots of interventions before experiencing a totally unassisted homebirth (not planned). It was so transformative. That experience gave me confidence not only in future pregnancies, but also in mother-hood in general. I love helping parents find that same confidence in their own pregnancies and birth experience

Q: What locations or areas do you serve?

A: I am located in Northern Kentucky/Cincinnati area.

Q: How much experience do you have?

A: I have been a Certified Doula since 2004, Licensed Massage Therapist since 2008, Certified Prenatal Massage Therapist and Infant Massage Instructor since 2012. I am hoping to add virtual postpartum services soon.

Q: What's your top piece of advice for an expectant mom?

A: Take care of yourself and give yourself grace. This is such a special time of life, try to enjoy it and not stress about the little things. Good nutrition is key, also fresh air, restful sleep and laughter!
