Bio
My name is Krystal Barnhart - CD(DONA), LCCE. I have served all of Northern (lower) Michigan as a Birth Doula/Childbirth Educator for 4+ years. My family recently relocated to the Tri-City area & I am looking forward to many years supporting & empowering the birth stories of growing families in the Mid-Michigan region! Q&A
Q: What locations or areas do you serve?
A: I am based out of Midland, Michigan and serve at hospitals, homes, and birth centers all around Mid-Michigan or wherever I am called!
Q: How much experience do you have?
A: I have been a birth doula and childbirth educator for 4 years. I began serving families in Northern Michigan in early 2020, I knew of my future in birth work after my own homebirth experience 7 years ago, and began studying pregnancy, labor, and birth at that time. I'm also currently a student Midwife's Assistant!
Q: Are there any specialities in who you serve? (e.g. home birth, VBAC, etc.)
A: As a homebirth Mother myself, I especially enjoy serving homebirth families! Being present in the OR to provide belly birth support is also an area of care that is much enjoyed, and necessary to families experiencing a cesarean. I am keen to the needs of LGBTQIA2+ families, single parents, young parents, and VBAC experiences.
