Bio

I'm Khadijah Bansfield- a mom of five, a midwife, doula, herbalist, and educator. I started The Postpartum Retreat so that mothers can know what it feels like to be truly cared for in the postpartum. I am passionate about maternal health and bridging the gaps women face when seeking quality care. It is my hope that my retreat will raise awareness about what postpartum care is all about and how beautiful the postpartum period can be with the right support.

Q: What locations or areas do you serve?

A: Starting in February, our retreat will be hosted at Cambria Hotel in Detroit. However, anyone from in or out of state are welcome!

Q: What's your favorite past client story?

A: "The women hosting this retreat are so welcoming, peaceful, and caring. The suite was private and comfortable - it felt like home! They were mindful of my spiritual practices, they doted on my baby and myself, and I left feeling like a new woman in the very best of ways.

Q: What are your certifications and trainings?

A: Our team of postpartum specialists, pelvic floor therapists, and perinatal mental health therapists will equip parents with the knowledge and skills needed to continue healing at home through our interactive classes, support circles, and one-on-one sessions.
