Bio
Hi, I’m Zeina! I’m a NICU nurse with 21 years of experience who’s cared for babies and families around the world. No matter where I worked, parents had the same questions and often felt unprepared. I created The Baby Lounge because I believe every parent deserves to bring their baby home feeling confident—not like they’re expected to figure it all out on their own. My workshops are hands-on and designed to help you feel ready for one of life’s biggest adventures.

Q: What drew you into working with parents-to-be?
A: After 21 years as a NICU nurse, I realized that no matter where I worked in the world, parents kept asking the same questions, and almost all of them wondered, “Why didn’t anyone teach us this before?” That question stuck with me, and it’s why I created The Baby Lounge. I want every parent to walk into parenthood feeling supported from day one.
Q: How much experience do you have?
A: I’ve been a NICU nurse for 21 years. Along the way, I’ve cared for babies in Detroit, California, Saudi Arabia, and Mexico. Looking back, it’s pretty incredible that a career I started at 21 has taken me all over the world!
Q: What's your top piece of advice for an expectant mom?
A: Everyone tells you how to prepare for birth, but very few people tell you how to prepare for bringing your baby home. My advice? Spend just as much time learning about your newborn as you do picking out your stroller. Trust me, you’ll use that knowledge a lot more!
Q: What's your favorite past client story?
A: One of my favorite moments was when a first-time dad told me I was the best “parent trainer ever” and said, “If you ever teach a class, I’m taking it.” The funny part? He had no idea I was already building The Baby Lounge. It’s still one of the best compliments I’ve ever received.
Q: How do you answer the question: "I want your support but my partner feels like they'll be replaced"?
A: I’d tell them they’re probably right....you can figure it out. Most parents do. My class isn’t about whether you’ll survive those first few weeks. It’s about giving you the knowledge and confidence to enjoy them instead of spending them second-guessing yourself. You only get one chance to bring your first baby home.

The Newborn Prep Experience is a 2-hour interactive workshop led by a NICU nurse with 21 years of experience. Through hands-on practice and evidence-based education, you’ll build confidence caring for your newborn while learning swaddling, diapering, burping, soothing techniques, feeding, newborn behavior, safe sleep, and what to expect during your baby’s first weeks at home. Leave feeling prepared, not overwhelmed. Bring your questions!
Pricing Description
$250 per couple for one 2-hour Newborn Prep Experience. Registration includes two participants (expectant parents or one expectant parent and a support person), hands-on instruction, practical skill-building, and personalized guidance in an intimate small-group setting limited to 8 couples. You’ll have opportunities to ask questions, practice essential newborn care skills, and leave feeling confident and prepared for your baby’s arrival.
