Bio

I am Tabitha, a certified birth & postpartum doula as of September 2023. I am a mom of 4. I have knowledge and personal experiences with breastfeeding, cloth diapering and baby wearing. My approach to support is love “What is done in love is well done.” -Van Gogh. My own motherhood experiences drive my passion for being the best doula for you. Q: How do you answer the question: "I want your support but my partner feels like they'll be replaced"?

A: I work alongside your partner. I will show them how they can best support you. Together we will implement what we have learned. I can be as hands on as you and your partner want me to be or I can guide your partner through the whole process with me being less hands on.

Q: What are your certifications and trainings?

A: I am a certified birth and postpartum doula through The Midwifery Institute.

Q: What locations or areas do you serve?

A: I serve North Louisiana. This includes Shreveport, Minden, Ruston and the surrounding areas.

Q: What's your top piece of advice for an expectant mom?

A: My top advice is to trust your intuition. This is relevant for pregnancy, labor, postpartum and motherhood. You know your body and baby better than anyone. Your intuition is rarely ever wrong.

Q: What drew you into working with parents-to-be?

A: As a child I knew that I wanted a career that involved babies and/or children. I thought that would be a labor & delivery nurse. My own experiences in labor and as a Mom lead me to realize that a doula was what I imagined a labor & delivery nurse’s job was. It was time to use what I had learned to support others on their motherhood journey.
