Placenta encapsulation is a postpartum practice that can offer potential benefits to the mother. This practice involves steaming, dehydrating, and grinding the placenta into a powder, which is then placed into pills for the mother to consume. Placenta encapsulation is thought to help fight postpartum depression, restore hormonal balance, provide vitamins and minerals to the body, and build up the mother's energy and strength after childbirth.
