NICU Sibling Support — Understanding the NICU Journey

A baby’s NICU stay can be confusing for the whole family—including siblings of every age. We provide Child Life support to help siblings understand what is happening, express big feelings, prepare for visits and changes in family routines, develop coping strategies, and find ways to stay connected with their baby. From toddlers to teens, we help siblings feel informed, included, and supported throughout the NICU journey.

Services start at $75 for an initial call with parents. Additional support is priced based on the level and type of services needed, with options tailored to each family’s unique situation.

NICU Sibling Support — Preparing for a NICU Visit

Sibling Support

Bringing a sibling to the NICU can help them understand what is happening & stay connected with their baby, but the sights, sounds, & equipment can feel overwhelming.
We provide in-person preparation and support before and/or during sibling visits. We help siblings understand what to expect, prepare for medical equipment, express big feelings, develop coping strategies, & find meaningful ways to connect with their baby.

NICU sibling visits are typically $450 for up to a half-day of in-person support. This includes preparation with parents, developmentally appropriate support for the sibling, and guidance before, during, and after the visit. Additional fees may apply for visits requiring extended time, extensive coordination, or travel outside our standard service area.
