About Safe Space Postpartum Doula Care LLC
Bio
For as long as I can remember, I have deeply loved caring for birthing and non-birthing parents, their babies, and families. My 25 years of experience as a registered nurse in labor & delivery, maternal-child public health, and pediatrics have shown me that the more held & protected we feel, the more we thrive.
Q&A
Q: Are there any specialities in who you serve? (e.g. home birth, VBAC, etc.)
A: I provide deep, compassionate support for parents of multiples, premature infants, and babies with special needs or medical fragility transitioning home from the NICU. I center the postpartum journeys of Queer, Trans, BIPOC, and Non‑binary folx in a space grounded in love, safety, and respect. All bodies and all feeding journeys are honored.
Q: What locations or areas do you serve?
A: Renton, Seatac, Tukwila, Burien, South Seattle, Kent, Auburn, Federal Way, Tacoma; Issaquah & Maple Valley, WA
Q: How much experience do you have?
A: I have over 25 years’ experience as a pediatric nurse and have provided informal postpartum doula care to friends and family for 27 years. I now work full‑time as a postpartum doula because I love this work and believe there’s no such thing as too much support after a baby arrives. Certified in infant, child, and adult CPR, first aid, and AED.
Q: How do you answer the question: "I want your support but my partner feels like they'll be replaced"?
A: Partner support is as important as support for the birthing parent and baby. My care is guided by what you and your partner value most. I show up with compassion, without judgment, and offer guidance only on your terms. This is a safe space for you both to begin your parenting journey together.
