Bio
My name is Maggie Jacobson. I believe in a return to community care, especially when it comes to raising children. With my background in teaching preschool, newborn nannying, and teaching yoga- it was a natural progression to become a Postpartum Doula. As a doula, my primary intentions are to: Support parent’s physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing. Create a safe, nurturing environment for baby to ground into. Eliminate any obstacles that get in the way of goal 1 & 2.

A: Ayurvedic Meal Preparation, Mayan Womb Massage, and Closing of the Bones Ceremonies are some of my specialties.
Q: What are your certifications and trainings?
A: I have trained under The Art of Sacred Postpartum, ProDoula, Be Her Village Education, Samma Karuna, and Naan Mimi as my Mayan Womb Massage teacher. However, I feel that some of my most useful practices developed while long term nannying for a family, helping to raise two beautiful children up from infancy and early newborn stages.
Q: How do you answer the question: "I want your support but my partner feels like they'll be replaced"?
A: Everyone is fatigued after the marathon of pregnancy and birth. As a postpartum doula I am here to hold the entire family amidst this time of transition.

Overnight Doula
Description
Overnight Bundles are the most practical way for parents to catch up on extended hours of sleep. Shifts range from 8-12 hours. In that time, I will handle the feeding, burping, diaper changes, and soothing for baby. While baby rests, I’ll use this time to restock diaper stations, fold baby’s laundry, and do some light kitchen clean up. In the morning, a nutritious breakfast will be waiting for the household.

Daytime Postpartum Doula + Meal Prep
Prepped Meals
Description
I will show up to your home with a homemade entree & snack with each visit. Every ingredient is selected with your holistic postpartum healing in mind. Upon arrival, I will prepare a nourishing tea for you to sip on while we check in. I will then offer you some bodywork to meet you where you’re at. Finally, I will complete a light house chore and be on my way.

Description
A beautifully facilitated space to share the story of your birth journey with your community. This service includes a sage smudging as folks enter your sacred home, guided meditation along with crystal singing bowls, and gentle prompting for you to share the soul voyage you’ve just been on. Includes handcrafted tea paired with an array of homemade treats to be shared. Be witnessed and celebrated in your transition from Maiden to Mother.

Womb Tending
Massage and Spa
Description
You will receive a series of practices that tend to your womb. Moxibustion, to warm the body from the inside. Mayan Womb Massage, to aid in the physical and emotional healing of your uterus. Bengkung Belly Bind, to support your womb’s journey back to it’s original size. Includes a Belly Binding Wrap and Vital Fire Tincture for you to keep.

This ritual space involves a warming oil rub down to soothe and release, a sealing body wrap with rebozos, a crystal bowl sound bath, and an herbal foot bath with hand crafted tea for a grounding reentry.This ceremony is held anytime after the 40 day window following birth. Take time to heal and acknowledge this period of transition.

In home visit to formulate a post birth recovery plan. This session involves meal train organization, idealized home set up, and product recommendations. Comes with stewed fruit compote and padsicles ready to go in your freezer to optimize your healing process in the immediate days postpartum.
