About Moonstone Doula Care
Bio
My name is Ash (she/her), I’m a full spectrum doula, a poet, a crafter and a mother of two. I’m full of anxiety and coffee, with a just-focused mind, living and loving in Metro Detroit! I’m chatty, friendly and love to make connections. I enjoy texting and planning meet-ups to talk about books and birth over a cup of coffee! No matter who you are or how you grow your family, you deserve quality, harm-free care. Birth rights are human rights!
Q&A
Q: What drew you into working with parents-to-be?
A: I love learning and research. Each time I was pregnant I loved to delve into the birth world. I didn't want it to end! When my two births were quite different and I started researching those differences, it made sense to me. I wanted to keep learning, and support others on their journey.
Q: What are your certifications and trainings?
A: I took the Maternal Support Practitioner course through Bebo Mia. It covered fertility, birth and postpartum. They have a strong focus on anti-racism, anti-fatphobia, and reproductive justice. I wanted my ideals to match those who were teaching me. I am certified through them as a doula and a lactation educator.
