About Mommy Meltdown Perinatal Services
Bio
I am a proud DONA trained birth doula and am state-certified. I also bring lived experience through 9 pregnancies and 5 live births. I deeply understand how real this gets. I want to be a part of the village I heard about, but didn't see. I will support you with comfort and calm, provide resources to answer your questions, and advocate for your wants. Additionally, I have a passion for perinatal mental health and the ebb and flow of change that being a parent brings. Let's talk!
Q&A
Q: How do you answer the question: "I want your support but my partner feels like they'll be replaced"?
A: My job is to enable your partner to focus on this amazing time WITH you. Let me get the cold compress and ice chips. I am also there to guide (not replace him) in comfort measures, because sometimes partners just don't know what to say or do. Additionally, I can ensure he takes care of his organic needs and you won't be left alone.
Q: What drew you into working with parents-to-be?
A: I have always felt a strong connection with people starting their parenting journey, but it wasn't until 2019 that I began offering postpartum support. There are so many pre and postnatal things not discussed, I want parents to know their feelings are valid, they are heard, and I am here.
Q: What locations or areas do you serve?
A: I serve Skagit, Whatcom, Island, Snohomish, and King Counties. A travel fee applies to 18 miles or more from my base location.
