Bio

Hi! I’m Jessica. I serve the DC, MD, and VA area, though I was born and partially raised in Athens Georgia. Five words I’d use to describe myself are: generous, compassionate, nurturing, loving, and genuine. You can typically find me either: gardening, cooking and/or eating, sleeping, spending time with loved ones, crafting with my herbs/oils/butters, or relaxing next to a warm fire and/or water. I LOVE water, fountains, ponds, oceans, I love them all.

Q: What drew you into working with parents-to-be?

A: I have 2 amazing kids. Both born by C-section. That’s part of the reason I became a doula. I wanted the opportunity to educate expecting parents, so they are aware of all of their options in birth and postpartum. The other reasons being that I love witnessing the miracle of birth, I love babies, and I love helping people.

Q: How much experience do you have?

A: I’ve helped over 120 families in birth and over 90 in postpartum so far and have a wide range of experience. From all natural, unmedicated, vaginal home birth, to planned cesarean. From healthy, low risk births, to high risk births.
