When I had my first, I was struggling. Breastfeeding was so tough for me and my son, I needed help. I needed someone to cook me meals. I needed to sleep when he slept. I had some family support but they worked or weren’t available when I needed the help. I didn’t even know what a postpartum doula was until I was six months postpartum. After having my second I knew I had to become a postpartum doula. My first made me need a doula, my second made me a doula.

Q: What's your favorite past client story?

A: I was speaking with a first time Mom & I was telling her how impressed I am with all the Moms I work with. I just cannot get over how well they are adjusting to motherhood. The Mother turns to me and says it’s because they have you! It took me by surprise at first but the more I thought about it she was right. I am doing my job so Moms can be Moms.

Q: What's your top piece of advice for an expectant mom?

A: We all need help from time to time. It is in your best interest to get the help. Getting support will help your overall adjustment to parenthood (no matter if it’s your first or fifth child).

Q: How much experience do you have?

A: I have serviced over 15 families.

Q: What are your certifications and trainings?

A: I am a Certified Postpartum Doula through LIDA (Long Island Doula Association), CPR Certified through American Heart Association.
