Lactation sessions typically last 30 minutes to 1 hour. First time sessions and sessions with latch assessments / weighted feedings may last 2 hours. Latch assessment, infant weight checks, daily needs calculations, and milk transfer calculations, are some of my most frequent services. Sore nipples, adequate milk production, latch questions, formula supplementation, engorgement are common concerns addresses in sessions.
