About Kristen Walles
Bio
Hi! I’m Kristen — a mother, infant sleep consultant, and postpartum doula. I have over a decade of experience working with families and supporting them through postpartum and/or baby sleep transitions. The first step to an empowered parenthood is lining up the help and support you need to thrive — and I’m so excited to be a part of that journey.
Q&A
Q: What drew you into working with parents-to-be?
A: I began working overnights as a postpartum doula while I was in nursing school. It was during this time I realized the huge lack of support for new parents, and how difficult it can be for families without the proper support system.
Q: What are your certifications and trainings?
A: I am a certified pediatric sleep consultant through the Family Sleep Institute and I completed my postpartum doula training through DONA International. I am also a certified happiest baby educator, as well as a registered yoga teacher specialized in prenatal and postpartum!
Q: What's your top piece of advice for an expectant mom?
A: Plan for postpartum! I know there’s a lot of emphasis on planning for labor and delivery (which you definitely want to be educated and prepared for!) — but you will want to put just as much effort into planning for postpartum to set you up for success in all areas (self-care, feeding, sleeping, nutrition, etc.)
