Bio

Nice to meet you, I’m Krista! I am a mother of 3 children (3, 7, and 12) and 2 fur babies. I have a BA in Psychology (Hons.) and various trainings related to my 11+ years in the disability and mental health sector. I became a doula after going through a challenging postpartum experience. I learned about perinatal supports, including doulas, and knew that I wanted to support other parents in their parenting journeys! I can’t wait to meet you!

Q: What are your certifications and trainings?

A: I took my postpartum doula training through a DONA-certified trainer in November 2022. I am also training to be a birth and bereavement doula through StillBirthday and a BEE (breastfeeding, education, and equity) Mentor through the NorthernStar Mothers Milk Bank.

Q: What locations or areas do you serve?

A: Due to my availability, I serve the city of Calgary throughout the week and can offer services in and around Calgary on weekends. These areas include: - Airdrie - Cochrane - Chestermere - Strathmore - Okotoks - Black Diamond/Diamond Valley

Q: What's your top piece of advice for an expectant mom?

A: You are stronger than you know! That said, asking for help is a strength, not a weakness. Do not hesitate to reach out for help… the people who love you and want the best for you will always answer the call.
