Bio
I’m a perinatal health professional with over 25 years of experience supporting women and families through community-focused childbirth education and birth doula support. I hold a Master’s in Guidance and Counseling from NYU and am a Certified Personal & Executive Coach and published author. I love Jesus and offer Christian faith-informed birth preparation and support to families who desire it.

Q: What drew you into working with parents-to-be?
A: My daughter's was the catalyst to becoming a birth worker. The support and encouragement I received made me want to give back to my community.
Q: What locations or areas do you serve?
A: Primary service area: Hudson Valley, New York Verified counties: Orange, Rockland, Ulster, and Westchester Select areas: Bronx, Manhattan, and Northern New Jersey Virtual services: Available when appropriate.
Q: What's your favorite past client story?
A: One of my favorite past client' stories was having a home birth client who transferred to the hospital tell me it was exactly the birth experience she needed. To learn what her body was capable of was empowering after two inductions, even though she pushed in the hospital.
Q: Are there any specialities in who you serve? (e.g. home birth, VBAC, etc.)
A: Our approach is grounded in practical preparation, advocacy, and individualized support, including those navigating complex or high-risk pregnancies. We support hospital, birthing center, and home births. Christian faith-informed support is also available for clients who want to incorporate their Christian faith into their birth preparation.
Q: How do you answer the question: "I want your support but my partner feels like they'll be replaced"?
A: As a doula I support the couple. Fathers have their own set of emotions they are dealing with during pregnancy and labor. I have enough capacity to hold space for them during labor. And, we can work together to support their partner giving her the benefit of two hearts and two pair of hands.

Perinatal coaching helps you prepare, clarify your options, and align decisions with your values. Unlike doula support, coaching focuses on education, preparation, decision-making, and personal goals—not labor and birth support.
