About Holistic Maternal Care

Bio

Hi, I’m Natalia Cortés—a Colombian mother, artist, and bilingual (English/Spanish) birth and postpartum doula based in Charleston, SC. Through Holistic Maternal Care, I support families with heart-centered, culturally inclusive care. My work blends emotional support, advocacy, and creative expression to honor your unique journey into parenthood. Whether in-person or virtual, I offer a safe, nurturing space where you feel heard, empowered, and never alone.

Q&A

Q: What are your certifications and trainings?

A: I am a certified birth and postpartum doula, an ACTT facilitator, and a PAIL advocate. I also hold a CPR certification and serve as a breastfeeding peer counselor.

Q: What locations or areas do you serve?

My background as an actress led me to explore the healing power of storytelling, creative expression, and connection, which naturally evolved into using art and art therapy as tools

Q: What's your top piece of advice for an expectant mom?

Q: How do you answer the question: "I want your support but my partner feels like they'll be replaced"?

A: I understand that your partner might feel that way, and that’s a very common concern. I want to assure you both that my role is to support you, not to replace anyone. I’m here to accompany and strengthen your relationship, helping you communicate better and feel supported throughout the process. My work is an additional support, not a substitute fo
