Description

One 4-hour postpartum doula visit, which may include but isn't limited to:
-newborn care while mom (and dad, if applicable) rest
-sibling care
-meal prep
-light cleaning
-breastfeeding support
-emotional support and birth story processing

My goal is not to "take over" from mom, but to provide whatever support the family needs as they adjust to their newest family member.

Breastfeeding support

Lactation Counselor

Description

1 hour of breastfeeding support (can be in person or virtual).

As a breastfeeding educator, I can provide support to pregnant or new moms, getting them comfortable with the nursing process and providing tips and advice. I can refer to a specialist if there seems to be a problem.

Nighttime Postpartum Doula Support

Postpartum Doulas

Description

Nighttime postpartum doula support is from 9pm-6am (9 hours).
This service includes supporting the new mom and family through the night, usually by caring for the newborn while the rest of the family enjoys a good night's sleep. If mom is breastfeeding, the doula will bring baby to mom for feedings and then return to a different room to take care of diapering, burping, and getting baby to sleep, so mom can get the most rest possible.
