Hello! I’m so thrilled that you’re here! My name is Maranatha Owens, the Certified Birth Doula here at Gentle Presence Doula in Coeur d’alene, Idaho. I am a seasoned Mama and grandma who has birthed all six of my children at home. I love making Mamas and their families feel supported and nurtured during pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum season. It would be my honor to personally discuss your needs and come up with a custom plan to help you feel prepared and excited about your coming birth

Q: What's your top piece of advice for an expectant mom?

A: RELAX! Lean into your God-given instincts, and glean from the women you trust. Let these women help you. Don’t be too self-reliant or proud. Learn from those who have gone before you and who exemplify success in the areas you lack experience or confidence. It’s ok to get help and receive love from those who love and care about you!

Q: How much experience do you have?

A: Twenty six years of mothering, a combined 11 years of breastfeeding, 30 years of attending births of friends in homes and hospital settings, as well as adoptive births. A Woman Who Serves Birth Doula Certification
