Bio
I believe that a woman’s body was designed to grow and birth a baby. A normal and not a pathological condition or one to be viewed and treated as an illness. When I serve families as their Doula they can expect the mother to be the in the center of her circle of care. My goal is to create a safe space in which the mother, her partner and her care providers communicate respectfully and the mother is empowered to cope through the birthing process.

Q: What are your certifications and trainings?
A: I am an ICEA Doula and Childbirth Educator, BirthFit Leader, Root Cause Protocol Consultant I have Neonatal Resuscitation Certification and regularly go through the Birth Emergency Skills Training
Q: How do you answer the question: "I want your support but my partner feels like they'll be replaced"?
A: Doulas never replace intimate partners. A partner knows the mother in a way the doula does not. But I know birth in a way the partner does not. My goal is to be a team and to provide tools for the partner to be confident in the support he offers, so that at the end of labor he's seen as the hero of the day.

A: I have attended over 200 births as a doula or midwifery assistant.

Description
As a birth doula I provide emotional and physical support for the birthing mother and her partner. Through prenatal appointments, phone calls, and email I provide resources throughout pregnancy and help you prepare for your upcoming birth. During your labor and birth, my goal is to keep your circle of care connected and the laboring mother in the center; where she belongs. Services include 2 prenatal visits, the birth and a postpartum visit.
Pricing Description
The fee for birth doula support is $1,200 . A 50% deposit holds your space on my calendar and is due at time of contract signing. The balance of $600 is due in full by 38 weeks of pregnancy. If baby is born prior to 38 weeks and doula attends the birth, payment is due within a week after the birth.
