I am Camila Santiago, a Certified Professional Midwife, trained Lactation Counselor and home birth mother of 3. I have over 17 years of combined experience in newborn care, postpartum and birth work.

Q: What drew you into working with parents-to-be?
A: I was born in Brazil, where I developed a fascination for pregnancy and babies from a young age. Unfortunately, Brazil has the highest cesarean section rates in the world. Many women, including those in my family, have also experienced obstetric violence. I didn't want this to be my reality and the reality of future generations of women.
Q: What are your certifications and trainings?
A: I am a Certified Professional Midwife (NARM), Certified Placenta Specialist (IPPA) and a trained Lactation Counselor. I am a constant learner and hold many other continue education trainings and certificates.

Description
We provide 2 PP planning virtual consults and 5 in person PP visits/checks during the first 8 weeks after the birth. We check blood pressure, temperature, fundal height, assessing bleeding, perineal/scar healing, lactation support, newborn weight checks and the mother's physical and emotional well-being with a true holistic approach tailored to your specific needs. Lab work if needed is available and extensive referral network.
