Birth Doulas

FaberFam LLC provides personalized birth doula support for Northern Virginia families seeking steady, evidence-based care. Led by certified doula Lacie Faber, services include continuous labor support, prenatal preparation, and early postpartum guidance. Families also have access to relationship education and fatherhood coaching, with Caleb Faber CFLE-P, creating a well-rounded support system for a confident, supported transition into parenthood.

Birth doula services are offered in two packages. The Simple Birth Package ($2000) includes one prenatal visit, continuous labor support, on-call availability from 37 weeks, immediate postpartum support, and one follow-up. The Signature Birth Package ($2500) includes all core services plus an additional prenatal session, 12 hours of postpartum care, and enrollment in a Bringing Baby Home® relationship course.

What drew you into working with parents-to-be?

After watching many women feel unprepared or discouraged by their birth experiences, I felt called to offer something different—steady, evidence-based support that helps families feel informed and confident. What's your top piece of advice for an expectant mom?

Prepare your mind as much as your body. Understanding what’s normal in labor—and what isn’t—changes everything. When you know what’s happening, you’re far less likely to feel overwhelmed or pushed into decisions you don’t fully understand. Surround yourself with people who keep you calm, informed, and confident.

What are your certifications and trainings?

DONA International Certified Birth Doula (CD), Certified VBAC Doula (The VBAC Link), with training in childbirth education, lactation basics, and bereavement support. Also trained under Robin Elise Weiss (former DONA and Lamaze president) and completed Full Focus training for goal-setting and postpartum planning.

What locations or areas do you serve?

Serving families across Northern Virginia, including Fairfax County, Loudoun County, Prince William County, and surrounding areas. Available for hospital, birth center, and home births.

Are there any specialities in who you serve? (e.g. home birth, VBAC, etc.)

VBAC support, physiologic (low-intervention) birth, and hospital-based births with a focus on navigating medical environments confidently.
