The gentleness of patiently welcoming a baby in the home is a place of genuine joy for me. I do not feel pressure to intervene but rather sit in a place of stillness awaiting the inevitable. This is not to say that birth never requires support from a skilled provider but rather a skilled provider knows when they are needed. I endeavor to be a skilled provider that is capable of using my knowledge when it is needed but not to supersede the inner knowing of the birthing dyad.

Q: What are your certifications and trainings?

A: I am a registered nurse for over 16 years and Certified Nurse Midwife, licensed in the State of NY since May of 2020.

Q: What's your top piece of advice for an expectant mom?

A: Find a provider who makes you feel safe, a childbirth education class (ideally in person and tailored to your birth location) and an experienced doula!

Q: What locations or areas do you serve?

A: I serve Suffolk County on Long Island, NY.

Q: Are there any specialities in who you serve? (e.g. home birth, VBAC, etc.)

A: Home birth is my specialty

Q: What drew you into working with parents-to-be?

A: I witnessed my first birth when I was 13, that of my brother born safely in our home. I too was born at home, as were four of my six siblings and thus my birth culture was shaped by this normalization of uncomplicated low risk birth.
