Bio
I'm a Birth Doula, Birth Photographer, Childbirth Educator and a Lactation Educator that serves the Phoenix AZ area. I’ve always felt it was my calling to serve women during one of the most intimate times of their life…childbirth. In 2010, I became a DONA certified doula and have attended 900 births since then. My doula style goes along with my personality...No matter where you are having your baby, I bring a calm, quiet strength to the birth environment, along with a whole lot of experience!

Q: How do you answer the question: "I want your support but my partner feels like they'll be replaced"?
A: A doula should not take the place of your partner. Think of it like a football team having both a coach and quarterback. Your partner is like the quarterback with the intimate connection. The doula is like the coach who looks at what is going on and can see if things are working or need to be changed up a bit...Separate roles but working together.
Q: What locations or areas do you serve?
A: I serve the Phoenix area and will attend births at home with your midwife, at a birth center or hospital.

A: I have been certified through DONA since 2010

Birth Doulas
Description
As a birth doula, I am available to answer non-medical questions during your pregnancy. I go on call at 38 weeks and will join you in active labor. I provide physical comfort, emotional support and guidance through the decision-making process. I assist with breastfeeding and do a postpartum visit 2 weeks after birth. My one day childbirth class, called the Birth Journey is included in the doula package. Birth photography can be added.
