So, what is placenta encapsulation, you ask? It's pretty simple, actually. We take the placenta, dehydrate it, grind it up, and pack it into easy-to-swallow capsules. Doula Bula offers two types of encapsulation: traditional, TCM (Traditional Chinese Method, in which the placenta is steamed before being dehydrated) and raw start (in which the placenta is not steamed). These capsules are then taken by the new mom in the weeks after giving birth.
