Hi, I’m Doreen, mother of 2, RN and IBCLC with more than 20 years with experience in L&D, High-Risk Obstetrics, Post-Partum and Nursery. My passion is helping guide new families into their most challenging and rewarding role. I would love to take the time to get to know you and what challenges you face to tailor my support to your needs in a judgement free zone.

Q: What drew you into working with parents-to-be?
A: I have learned as a nurse and mother that bombarding new families with education in their short hospital stay is not the most effective teaching methods. This is what led me to starting my mama coach journey. My own motherhood journey included two high risk pregnancies, a rough post partum recovery and several breastfeeding challenges.
Q: How much experience do you have?
A: I have been a nurse for more than 20 years with focus in L&D, PP, high risk Obstetrics, Nursey and NICU. I have coached and consulted with hundreds of families.
Q: What locations or areas do you serve?
A: DFW, Texas area. I do private consulting in your home if you are specifically in the southern area of DFW: Arlington/Mansfield/GP/Midlothian/Kennedale/Burleson and surrounding areas.
Q: What's your top piece of advice for an expectant mom?
A: Create specific goals in mind. Go beyond "Healthy mom/healthy baby"! "I want to exclusively breastfeed my baby for 6 months" or " I want to deepen the bond with my child by having uninterrupted skin to skin time for the first two hours of my baby's life" Once you have a few goals seek out the experts that will help support you in these goals.

Childbirth Preparation with an L&D RN
Birth Classes
Description
During your private prenatal session you will learn: signs of labor, pain management strategies, tips for partners, when to go to your birth facility, pain control options once you are in the hospital, vaginal birth, cesarean birth, postpartum care, newborn care, and so much more. This typically runs 3-4 hours and includes email support from me until your delivery. Avoid Dr. Google and get all your questions answered from a Registered Nurse!

Feeding Support Package

Description
This package is for families who need consistent support to overcome the struggles they are having with feeding, including breastfeeding, pumping, bottle feeding, and formula. My goal is to help take the stress out of feeding your baby.
This service includes:
60 min in home consultation
Comprehensive feeding plan and eBook
7 consecutive days of follow-up email support or one 30 min in home reassessment
