About Dawn Doula Services
Bio
It brings me so much joy to serve new parents and families as they prepare for childbirth, postpartum, and the adjustment of having a brand new family member in the home. I am a certified birth doula (Well-Rounded Maternity, 2018), certified postpartum doula (CAPPA, 2019), Hypnobabies Hypno-Doula (2020), and certified pediatric sleep consultant (CPSM, 2024). I love supporting and encouraging parents in all of these various roles and offer both in person and virtual services.

Q: What's your top piece of advice for an expectant mom?
A: Trust your instincts! You are the mom, which means you get to make decisions and do what you think is best for you and your baby. I believe that God places your baby in your family with purpose; you are the perfect mom for your baby, and your baby is the perfect child for you. Give yourself grace as you transition into this new role of mom.
Q: How do you answer the question: "I want your support but my partner feels like they'll be replaced"?
A: I love to think of each of us having our own individual roles, but all on the same team! Your partner knows you and loves you and is the expert on you, while I come with the knowledge and tools to prepare for and support birth. My expertise on birth frees your partner to love and encourage you; my goal is to support both of you.

2 (1-2 hour) phone or video calls to plan for postpartum; the first call is an overview of the main topics: feeding, family meal planning, sleep, household chores, and emotional preparation. The second call is semi-customizable to your needs and delves more deeply into one or more of these topics.
