Bio

My passion for mothers and babies began as a young girl. I went on to pursue a career as a registered nurse 17 years ago and graduated with an Associate of Applied Arts in Science degree in 2008 and a Bachelor of Science in nursing in 2015. After working in labor and delivery at St. Peter's, I desired a closer role with my patients. Doula work was just the niche I was looking for in women’s health. I’m naturally able to empathize with women and establish a strong rapport.

Q&A

Q: What are your certifications and trainings?

A: I'm certified as a birth/ postpartum doula, childbirth and perinatal educator. As a certified breastfeeding counselor, I'm studying to become an IBCLC. I am trained in home and birth center births. Lastly, I'm certified in neonatal, pediatric and adult CPR.

Q: Are there any specialities in who you serve? (e.g. home birth, VBAC, etc.)

A: My specialties include assisting high-risk and AMA pregnancies, twin births, waterbirths, stillbirths, VBAC and NICU graduate postpartum clients.

Q: How do you answer the question: "I want your support but my partner feels like they'll be replaced"?

A: I'm very family oriented and enjoy teaching fathers comfort techniques, answering their questions and supporting them in their role at the birth. I engage them in the consultation phase by involving them in the conversation so that they know they are valued members of the birth team.

Q: What locations or areas do you serve?

A: My services are available in NJ, parts of NY (Brooklyn, Staten Island & Lower to Mid- Manhattan) and parts of PA (Allentown, Bethlehem & Easton).
