Bio
Jessica is trained as a Postpartum Doula and Lactation Education Counselor in NYC. She supports parents from birth through preschool, offering support groups, workshops, and parent consulting. Jessica completed her Masters in Public Health Administration at NYU. She then worked at NYU Medical Center and Gilda's Club, a non-profit offering emotional and social support services to families living with cancer. Jessica lives in NYC with her husband, a longtime ER Physician, and her 3 kids.
How much experience do you have?
I have been working with parents for the last 12 years, and I worked in public health for ten years before that.
What's your top piece of advice for an expectant mom?
Try to set realistic expectations for the postpartum newborn stage. And get off social media and Google if you can! They're both scary places for new moms.
