Postpartum Doula Services
Postpartum Doulas
Postpartum services provide personalized support for families after birth, helping ease the transition into life with a new baby. This includes emotional support, newborn care guidance, feeding assistance, and practical help with daily tasks. The goal is to nurture both the parents and baby, promoting healing, confidence, and a positive postpartum experience.
$50 for local day time shifts $60 for night shifts (an extra commute fee may be added for services provided over 1/2 hr away)

Hi, I'm Karen! I have a strong passion for providing compassionate, professional support to expectant parents and families during the transformative journey of pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period. I am a certified BRM® pro and offer 1:1 assessments and extra prenatal visits to implement principles, information, and tools that will better prepare you for birth.

What are your certifications and trainings?
I am certified through DONA, Intl. I also am a certified BRM® pro and soon to be certified to teach BRM® classes. I keep my CPR and NRP certifications active.
What locations or areas do you serve?
Wasilla, Palmer, Chugiak, JBER, Anchorage, Alaska and will consider beyond if my schedule permits.
How much experience do you have?
I've attended over 200 births
How do you answer the question: "I want your support but my partner feels like they'll be replaced"?
I am a part of your team! Your partner knows you better and I know birth better so we make a great team! Depending on the partner's comfort level I make suggestions on how they can be involved.
Are there any specialities in who you serve? (e.g. home birth, VBAC, etc.)
I have served numerous VBAC clients, but I'm happy to serve you wherever you want to be (home, birthing center or hospital).
