Hi, I'm Karen! I have a strong passion for providing compassionate, professional support to expectant parents and families during the transformative journey of pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period. I am a certified BRM® pro and offer 1:1 assessments and extra prenatal visits to implement principles, information, and tools that will better prepare you for birth.

Q: What are your certifications and trainings?

A: I am certified through DONA, Intl. I also am a certified BRM® pro and soon to be certified to teach BRM® classes. I keep my CPR and NRP certifications active.

Q: What locations or areas do you serve?

A: Wasilla, Palmer, Chugiak, JBER, Anchorage, Alaska and will consider beyond if my schedule permits.

Q: How much experience do you have?

A: I've attended over 200 births

Q: How do you answer the question: "I want your support but my partner feels like they'll be replaced"?

A: I am a part of your team! Your partner knows you better and I know birth better so we make a great team! Depending on the partner's comfort level I make suggestions on how they can be involved.

Q: Are there any specialities in who you serve? (e.g. home birth, VBAC, etc.)

A: I have served numerous VBAC clients, but I'm happy to serve you wherever you want to be (home, birthing center or hospital).
