Create the space to give yourself the best chance of a natural birth! My passion is supporting physiological birth, centering the birthing person for the best chance of a gentle birth. Every birth follows a similar pattern of progression, but the journey is unique for each baby. I'm your birth care partner and ally in the birth space. Mentored by homebirth midwives (Yukon) & medical/research doctors (UBC). 7 yrs research manager. 10+ births. Mom of 3. You can't plan birth, you CAN create space

Q: What drew you into working with parents-to-be?

A: When I was pregnant with my first child I found I had a passion for learning about physiological birth. My experiences with hospital and home birth and the medical system when birthing my children led me into relationship with other moms and midwives in my community (Yukon). We formed advocacy groups for birth care that listens to the life giver.

Q: What are your certifications and trainings?

A: -Mentored by German-trained midwife in Yukon, homebirth -Birthing From Within -Wise Woman Way of Birth -Spinning Babies -INFACT Canada Lactation Course -Bachelor of Education, Biology/English (TWU/SFU) -BC Teaching Certificate -Graduate courses in Population and Public Health (UBC) -Research Manager for Maternity Care projects at UBC (7 yrs)

Q: Are there any specialities in who you serve? (e.g. home birth, VBAC, etc.)

A: Experienced in supporting: Physiological birth at hospital or home, Homebirth, VBAC, Breech, BIPGM, Queer and neurodiverse folks. As your birth care partner, I am your ally in the birth space. I center your bodily autonomy and your connection to your body and baby. Birth care is solidarity. I witness and amplify. I ask evidence based questions.

Q: What locations or areas do you serve?

A: I support folks who live in the city of Vancouver, BC. I'm available for planned homebirths or those who wanted a homebirth but could not book a midwife and want to labour at home as long as possible. I stay with you and provide continuous support and advocacy to create the space for natural birth when we transfer to the hospital (BC Women's)
